Dear TGL,
What a year it has been. I first want to thank Michael for putting together such a wonderful league. I have to say it has been one of the best leagues, from all aspects, that I have played in. I want to thank all of you for making this a competitive league. I am honored to win the inaugural season and have a chance at the dynasty pot next year.
This win that didn't come without trials and tribulations for not only me but the league as a whole.The year was plagued with injuries, up and down performances, and terrible kickers. I consulted with my advisers on how practical it would be for me to try out as an NFL kicker next year having no prior competitive football experience. They gave me the thumbs up, and I have enlisted our very own Brad Piunno as my training coach. You may very well see me on the field next year, and it would behoove you to draft me as your fantasy kicker.
How did I win a league that at any given point gave me around a 6% chance of winning you might ask. I will keep this brief and my answers are as follows: 1) Never give up....my team wasn't the best on paper but my management skills and determination kept me in the running week to week. 2) Superior analysis week to week...no explanation needed. 3) Luck...despite injury news for Theo Riddick coming in at game time and app issues resulting in me getting zero points in week 1 and 2 of the playoffs for him, I was still able to manage both weeks.
I look forward to the off season activity and hope that everyone participates. We are all busy with our day to day lives, but that is no excuse for not participating. Please make sure to vote on all league decisions and don't be "That Guy" that is too busy to participate. This league has great potential and it starts with all of us doing our part.
Here's to 2017! I hope you all have a wonderful and prosperous year. The bullseye is squarely on my back...come chase the 2016 champ next September! I can promise that I won't relinquish my reign easily.
